How I fixed Invalid IMEI and Sim Not Detected on My Android Device

Hello readers of this blog, thanks for stopping by. If you are reading this post, it's probably because you ported a custom ROM to your android device, and either your device keeps showing Invalid IMEI or SIM Not detected, right?

In this post, I will be explaining the easiest and most effective method to fix this problem. This method I will be explaining, is the same method I used to fix this same problem on my Tecno H6. Enough with the talk, lets get straight to the point.

Requirements to fix Invalid IMEI and Sim Not Detected on My Android Device
1. Root Explorer
2. CWM IMEI Fix. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD IT

Now Follow the steps below carefully to fix your device IMEI problem.

Step 1 Open the root explorer you just downloaded, goto data, scrow gently till you find a folder named "NVRAM". tick the box next to it to select it. Now copy the folder and paste it in the root of your SDCARD.(Memory Card)

Step 2 Still in the explorer, swipe to the right to go to your memory card, locate the folder you stored the downloaded CWM IMEI FIX file. Extract it. NOTE: The step 2 can also be done using other extracting tools, like WINRAR for android, File Explorer

Step 3 Now open the file you just extracted, that is the CWM IMEI FIX, scrow gently till you find a folder named "NVRAM", delete the folder.

Step 4 Now copy the "NVRAM" folder you copied earlier to the root of your SDCARD, (Read Step 1, if you don't understand this step. and paste it in the file you extracted. That is in the CWM IMEI FIX, where you deleted the first "NVRAM" folder. Got it right?

Step 5 The next step is to rezip the file you extracted. That is the CWM IMEI FIX. Rezip it, then copy and paste to the root of your memory card.

Step 6 Now boot your device to recovery mood, and flash the rezipped file, that is the CWM IMEI FIX without wiping anything.

Once done, you'll get your invalid IMEI and SIM not detected error fixed.
